“COVID-19 Pandemic has now been affecting the country since March 2020. At that point in time the Nevada unemployment rate was 3.5 to 4%. Since then it has skyrocketed to close to 30%. Numerous workers have died as a result of exposure to the disease. Businesses have been closed for extended periods of time. Nevada is just now starting to reopen for business. Beyond the high unemployment rates, what issues do you foresee in the future for Nevada’s Labor workforce? How will the pandemic affect the workforce going forward and what do you feel are changes that will be made in the future that will impact workers? What steps can be taken to address these issues going forward?”
