This 32-hour course covers workplace safety and health hazards and the regulations that protect you on the job site. Many construction contractors are requiring their employees to have an OSHA 30 card. Topics include job site hazard recognition, avoidance, and prevention; the fatal four; PPE; health hazards; stairways and ladders; worker rights; and employer responsibilities.

This 40-hour class covers common hazards in construction, tools of the trade, and successful habits for apprentices. Topics covered include heat stress; small engines; soil compaction; powder actuated tools; chain saw safety and maintenance; scaffold user safety; and financial tools. Hands-on activities will be included. *Personal Protective Equipment Required.
